Black River

The Black River drains the central areas of the region, including the Chaos Pits. The many strange minerals and fluids that enter it give it a predominantly dark and opaque color, although sometimes its surface is covered by a sheen that displays all the colors of the rainbow. It is wholly unsuitable for drinking, even after massive filtering, and in fact cannot even be navigated by boat as all metal quickly corrodes when in contact with it and wood doesn't fare much better. Only when it flows into the river Karak - which drains the waters from northern Gol Algor - does it become navigable, but even then drinking is not recommended.
