Citizenship Papers
rating: 0+x

Passports or citizenship papers identify the owner as a citizen of a particular city-state. They will afford him greater rights and more courtesy by officials within that city. Additionally, he can use his passport to travel to other, non-hostile cities and generally stay there for several months without requiring residency papers.

Since passports are enchanted with a special mystic symbol by the issuing office, they are more expensive, but also harder to forge than residency papers. Other than that, they list the same information - though it is also possible to commission a small portrait of the owner.

Cost: Passports cost 50 gp to issue, and a further 30 gp or more for the optional portrait. In general, they need to be renewed every four years, though this is done by simply stamping the passport and only costs 1 gp.
