Freudberg
rating: 0+x

This old neighborhood of Lachengrund which long predates the formation of the city-state is insular even by the standards of Nimdenthal - while many of its inhabitants now work elsewhere in the city, they tend not to socialize with others, nor move or marry outside of it.

When one of their own dies, they do not notify the city authorities of it. Instead, they simply throw the body into the nearby marshes, where they are devoured by a small clan of ghouls - which are largely the relatives and ancestors of the living inhabitants and secretly protect the Freudberg from outside interference.

However, as the population of Freudberg has grown, so has the ghoul community and its needs. As a result, some of the residents offer their services to various criminal gangs elsewhere in the city - to be precise, they can make a body disappear without a trace.
