Lake Avon

Lake Avon is said to be inhabited by a powerful (and possibly fey) spirit who has loaned mighty and pure warrior champions an artifact sword throughout the ages. Currently, the area surrounding the lake has become a popular resort with the upper classes of nearby Dartmouth. These guests derive additional entertainment from the occasional would-be champions who devise all sorts of novel ways to demonstrate their "worthiness" in the eyes of the spirit - so far, without success.
