For those parts of the city not covered by the tram network, omnibuses are a frequent substitute. These are large carriages which multiple passengers can enter and sit in, and which travel a fixed route. Most omnibuses are horse-drawn, although some wealthy cities have begun to substitute quadrupedal golems for the horses for some routes (usually in the best parts of the city).
