Trams are a type of light railroad used exclusively within city limits. The wagons are not intended for long-term stays and thus tend to be rather cramped. Nevertheless, they usually represent the fastest way of getting to the other end of a city, and are thus used in large numbers.

Originally, all trams were pulled by horses, and thus limited in size. Nowadays, most wealthy cities use quadrupedal golems for this purpose - usually those made obsolete by newer-generation rail coaches where the golem is integrated into the structure of the coach itself. This allows multiple wagons of a tram to move together, and thus vastly increases the number of passengers - and it also cuts down on the smell from horse dung.
